A Disney Cruise Vacation, perfect
for kids, families, couples and wedding/honeymoon destination!

Cindy's Vacation
Three Day Disney Cruise
August 21, 2008

My husband, Pete and I were scheduled to begin our cruise from Port Canaveral, a short distance from Orlando. We arrived a day early, which I recommend to all of my clients when cruising (not just in the winter season). If you ever wondered, “Why do I have to leave Minneapolis a day early if I am sailing in August?" Well let me tell you, we flew right into Tropical Storm Fay, and if we had arrived the day of the cruise we would have had a pretty long day! Because of the storm we were actually checked in at the airport and took a bus to Fort Lauderdale. The check in went fine and we were given a snack to enjoy with a Disney movie of course! We left behind the strong winds and rain to begin our Magical cruise!

I would like to point out a few things we enjoyed as adults on a Disney Cruise.
• If you want to be away from the families, there are plenty of adult’s only activities.
• The beach at Castaway Cay is very relaxing, but if you want a little more action feel free to explore.
• The food is amazing!
• We left our kids at home but it was so much fun to watch other children enjoy the magic.

Is a Disney Cruise for you? If you answer “yes” to any of the below questions, then a Disney cruise is right for you!
• You enjoy quality service.
• When you are on vacation you want to forget about everything else.
• You appreciate wonderful food.
• You want the best you can get.
• A part of you has never grown up!

What I am trying to say is Disney Cruises really are for everyone, regardless of your age! So if you are thinking this might be the right vacation for your family please give me a call and let the magic begin.

Disney Cruise Greetings!
A peaceful evening at Palo's a
adults-only restaurant.
Do you know what ship this is?
Every girls dream to have a picture with
Captain Jack Sparrow!
Relaxing after a day at the
adults-only beach.
There is no getting lost on this cruise!

After a day exploring Nassau it was time
to come home.

Cindy's Family Vacation
Walt Disney World Resort

In the ‘Year of a Million Dreams’, I had a dream come true! Yes, I took my four kids to the Walt Disney World Resort in August to share the magic I had experienced last September at Disney’s Earmarked Conference, exclusively for Authorized Disney Vacation Planners.

I loved Disney on my first trip but how would it fare with four kids ages 11 (Bobby), 14 (Paige), 15 (Lynsey) and 17 (Peter). Dad had to work and sailed onboard Disney Cruise Line, so it was just the kids and me!

What would I like to share and what did I learn?
• Most important fact, this vacation you need down time! For the first two days, my son, Bobby would walk by the pool asking, “Can we please swim?” but we were in a rush. Finally we did stop and go in the pool.
• We went during the “Free Dining” promotion in August; it is a value for a large family. But it was hot, so get the ‘Water Park Fun & More’ option.
• This is a vacation like no other; you experience so many different things.
• Make your dining reservations early. We waited and did get really nice picks, but several days we ate our sit down meal at 1:00-3:00 p.m. This was actually fine because it was hot.
• My favorite ride; Kilimanjaro Safaris, Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
• The kid’s favorite ride, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
• Our favorite meal, 10:00 p.m. at the California Grill, we had a view of the fireworks at the Magic Kingdom (two table service experiences per person from the Magic Your Way Package Plus Dining but worth it).
• Least favorite meal was at Biergarten, the Germany Pavilion, Epcot, as it was closing, good thing to think about!
• Would we go back during the “Free Dining” promotion if offered again? Of course we already agreed but we might have to take my husband this time!
